Driven by a need to give back to our community, The Mind's Eye Society as a whole supports all sorts of needs throughout the entire year. Actively engaging its members to contribute both time through volunteering and funds or supplies to a multitude of philanthropic organizations, the MES has a strong commitment to empowering the community that supports it s membership.

NCRE 2017 is proud to open its doors to the Freedom Service Dogs of America and the MES Scholarship Fund. By supporting animals, veterans, the disabled, and education between both of these charities, the North Central Regional Event is planning on holding a Charity Auction, Silent Auction, Pre-Con Online Auction, Photos for Charity, Charity Raffle, and a Character Refueling Station! Help us raise funds for these causes by joining us at NoCtuRnE 2017!
Freedom Service Dogs is a nonprofit organization that enhances the lives of people with disabilities by rescuing dogs and custom training them for individual client needs. Clients include children, veterans and active duty military, and other adults. Their disabilities include autism, traumatic brain injury, cerebral palsy, spinal cord injuries, muscular dystrophy, multiple sclerosis, and post-traumatic stress disorder.

We now take the next step of our journey in investing back into our society with a groundbreaking concept in the gaming community … Mind’s Eye Society has established a scholarship to promote educational excellence within our membership. Amongst the first of its kind, this scholarship is eligible to all MES members in good standing, currently enrolled in a university or college that holds Non-Profit status.

Pre-Con Charity Auction
For the 2017 convention year, NCRE will be offering exclusive convention only items/benefits for each of our four playable venues, this year. Purchasing one of these mean's that your character comes into game knowing information that no one else does. Do you chase plot? Are you playing an elder or an alpha? Do you have this driving desire to know what others don't? This is the auction for you.
Many thanks to all those who participated in the NCRE 2017 Pre-Convention Auction. Your generous donations have given us a great head start on being able to make a sizable donation to our featured charities this year.

Live Auction Event
With NCRE 2017 being the end for the Camarilla/Anarch chronicles for this season, we are happy to announce that all Cam/Anarch IC purchases will be Next Chronicle items! (Yes, I know that this should be obvious, but I wanted to make sure there were no questions about this.) Silent Auction Event
This year, some of those smaller items will be next to our Registration table at the entrance. With a dedicated table in the Vendor Room for our silent auction, these items will be easy to see and bid on throughout the weekend. Come see our list of available bids May 25th - 27th.
Be sure to check in often, as written bidders will not be informed if they are outbid throughout the course of the weekend. Bidding closes at 6pm on Saturday May 27th. Items available for immediate pickup. Pickup your winning bid by Closing Ceremonies.
Photos for Charity Event
Whoo hoo - Something new! yes, this year the North Central Regional Event is introducing a premium digital photography option. Instead of one digital photo this year, you can purchase up to 10 photos throughout an entire day for only $5.00! Want more - $5.00 gets you another CD and another day of character fun. In addition, we have six vinyl backdrops of varying styles for you to choose from for a more professional look. There is something to suit almost every character.
In addition to your photo CD purchase, you will receive a unique armband to show off your charitable spirit. All photo funds go to charity this year! "No commercial" use waivers will be available at time of purchase.
The Naughty Box Raffle
This year, NCRE has some surprises in store. We went far and wide, talking to adult stores all over to find a special type of inventory for our more, frisky members. Locked away inside could be anything from collections of adult movies, erotica reading material (and sexy pictures - of course), adult toys, and so much more. Guaranteed to have a spring steel corset and multiple other items inside for him and her (and maybe some extra to share with each other). Get your ticket at our Charity Table during the event and unlock your naughty box after we announce the winner at the live charity auction on Saturday, May 27th.
For those of you who traveled far and don't want to take a bunch of toys home with you on the plane, we will ship it to you after the event!

This year we will be offering a raffle options for all Standard and VIP ticket holders. Extra tickets are available for purchase on sight at our Charity table. Winners will be announced directly after the Live Auction completes. Items will be available for pickup at the Charity Table until Closing Ceremonies. One NCRE specific item available not being made or sold anywhere else! Looking forward to seeing you there.
