Sabbat

“To those whom I've fought with
and to those I don't know your name
We fought by one another.
You did not die in vain.
We fought, you died,
We bled, and I cried,
Even until our untimely end,
our country, our families, our brothers,
we shall defend”

- Justin Montana Williams

Never before had we conceived of our own corruption, our own desperation for reinforcements that we would turn to those which we once hunted.

We turned to Set himself to eradicate a measly demon for us, to Malkav to dispatch the Eater of Names, and even to Ravnos to take on Tzimisce – unable to bring Ghenna to its knees as we were meant to do alone.  Oh, how the once-mighty warrior-Sabbat squeak.  Like mice we skitter and tremble behind the dog in fear of the cat, ignoring the fleas that eat us alive.  Even the damned cattle-bred hunters, whom once upon a time would grovel at our feet in fear of our very names, have taken out Augustus in our name…but we have survived.

We have withstood the pounding of destiny that has been shoved down our throats.  We rise to the cause and find greatness, pulling ourselves up from the waste left behind in the wake of our failure. Once again we embrace the night with all of Caine’s glory as we pay a debt that has come calling…

Our world remains, but this is only because the deal we struck with Ur-Shulgi made it so.  Now, the infernal taint that pollutes what is left of this rock hunts its savior.  So, we will stand up and answer our Regents drum, which calls us with a siren’s song to Alamut.  This time, we will break our cages and hack it to pieces.  No matter the cost we will grind this infection from our world, for if Ur-Shulgi dies, so too will this Earth.

It is up to us, now, my brothers and sisters!  Push away your doubt, burn away your fear and fuel your anger with righteousness.  This is more than duty – this is for our family, our pack, our right to choose, the very bloody Sword of Caine itself!  For when he returns, there will be no more hesitancy, no more confusion or phony faith!  There will be no more trials of worth – because we will serve as Caine’s right hand!  We will liberate this world for him!

Praise be to Caine!

Venue Synopsis/Setting

Basic Description: The Sabbat gather at the base of Alamut, hoping to stop Gehenna in its tracks. But who will they unite with? What will they have to do to keep it from happening?

Plot Hook: The end of the world is nigh, and much lies on the shoulders of Ur-Shulgi. The Sabbat have met at Alamut to put an end to this once and for all. Gehenna will not be allowed to pass, and they will do everything to stop it.

Expectations: This is the ending of the national plot for this current chronicle. Stakes are going to be extremely high, and victory is not assured. Sabbat members will be tested on all fronts, and we will see if they are found wanting.

Venue Specific Storytelling Mechanics

Proxy Rules-

Proxies to Convention are not allowed.

Travel Risks-

Traveling to Alamut is incredibly difficult. There are two choices when it comes to travelling to the event.

You can travel to Alamut with the accommodations put forth by the Sword of Caine. You will arrive fine and on time.

You can travel to Alamut separately. This will require a proxy to the Sabbat lead 1 week in advance of the con (Due Thursday, May 19).  You will be in lock until the con, and there will be risks travelling this way.

Experience Awards-

Per Session: 6 xp

Overcap: 4 xp

Venue Specific Notes-

  • You are part of an assault against multiple Methuselahs. Risk of death is very high.

  • Killboxes must be registered in advance and will be handled on a first come first serve basis. I can not guarantee that there will even be enough time to handle all the registered boxes, so any unregistered killbox may be subject to a freeze until a staff member is available to run it

  • Players are considered to be at full blood for the game. Even Panders have had their needs tended to by the Order of St Blase.

  • At the onset and outcome of the game there will be envelopes for players who wish their stories to end at this game.

  • There will be high levels of religious overtones to this game. Those offended by such will be encouraged to step away.

  • This is not going to be 6 hours of chops, an array of RP choices leading up to and at the event will provide a multitude of ways for players to interact.
