Hey there NoCtuRnE 2020 seekers,

We have a full listing of venues setup and are getting into the swing of preparation for an epic event. But what we have isn't enough without your time and dedication. So we are looking for a few more amazing individuals to help NCRE 2020 set new standards for the future of our conventions! This means we need innovative, strong, and talented leadership. STAFF Positions Available:

Job Descriptions:

Each of the Section Leads should have all of the following skills as well as but not limited to the skills related to their specific section.

- Attend NCRE 2020 in Denver, CO May 27-31, 2020

- Detail oriented with strong self-management skills.

- Able to manage teams effectively (in person and remotely).

- Excellent time management.

- Ability to handle a large work load.

- Both good written and verbal skills.

- Provide a Monthly Report of work done

- Available for Google Hangout Meetings at least once a month (microphone required)

-Charity Lead & Second

Duties: Works directly with the Event Lead and the aNCA - Charities to select the convention sponsored charities. Will coordinate, plan, and execute all charity drives and auctions at the convention while working within the parameters and guidelines for Charites as established by the NCA. Will work with National and Regional Storytellers as well as outside sources to source items both in and out of character for the charity auction(s).

-Concierge Lead & Second

Duties: Set up and monitor the Concierge Suite (Room) for the convention. Also responsible for working with special interest groups in organizing activities. (i.e. Giovanni Dinner, Parent Group, etc.) Collect information about surrounding area for attendees. Work with Media Lead to develop a "Helpful Resources" list. Manage Lost & Found. Please note this department is funded by donations only, including the cost of the hotel spaced used.

-Security Lead & Second

Duties: Handle our On-Site Security and ensure that the Rules of the Convention are being followed including the new props policy. May also be responsible for dealing with any disruptions and disturbances with our members per Hotel Staff request.

-Volunteer Lead & Second

Duties: Responsible for finding and coordinating guests to help volunteer at the convention to help out make the convention a success. This may include work prior to the convention in the form if sourcing and pre-scheduling volunteers for a variety of tasks to be completed on site. Will work with the Storyteller and Venue Leads to find narrators and NPC's at their discretion.

-Programming Lead & Second

Duties: The Programming Lead is responsible for all official non-Chronicle events at the Convention, such as Opening and Closing Ceremonies, non-Chronicle games*, meetings and panels, social gatherings, and Club culture and education events. The ANCA Programming can act as a mentor in these cases. Programming Lead will help to make sure these run smoothly and on time. If the event plans to host a Concierge Lounge (which must be cost-neutral for the event), the Concierge Lead will manage it. If the Concierge Lounge will have official event board games, karaoke, Club Culture talks, or any such event/Programs, such Programs will fall under the office of the Programming Lead, while the maintenance and staffing of the Concierge Suite will be under the Concierge Lead.

*Non-Chronicle games include charity games and any game set outside of the MES Chronicles’ continuities. “Historial” games set in one of the MES Chronicles’ Continuities still fall under the office of ST Lead.

-Seconds positions

...are also available for Marketing, Photography, and Stage Managers. All seconds must also submit an application.

If you aren't sure if you want to be a lead so you can learn the ropes, a Second position may be the right place for you. You're in on everything as it builds, help the Primary lead work, and would only take over in the event the Primary lead must leave their positions.

New to the MES? The second position is a great way to gain Prestige and learn how to work a convention in one of the best events of the year (Yes, I will toot our own horn as much as I please, thank you!)

Most of our venue leads are hired! Woot! Congratulations to a full team for Masquerade, Sabbat, and Apocalypse. We do however, still need help by finding a Space venue Second.
